James River Church Construction Team

James River Church Construction Team

In August 2014 James River Church in Ozark, MO sent a construction team to help work on the Antilla Church Project.  We appreciate their help and labor in the heat in August.  They poured floors and worked on the church.  The last day they enjoyed a pig roast with the brethren.

Thank you to the JRC leadership and mission's team and Tracy Peterson (JRC Team Leader) for your generosity and for blessing the Antilla Church Project.

Farewell to Lana's Mom Shirley Angie Baker

Lana with her Mom Shirley
My Mom Shirley went to be with the Lord on June 22, 2014.  I miss her and think of her every day.  She was a retired US Army Command SGM E-9 .  During her service to our country she worked in JAG and many other positions during her 27 years.   Mom painted, sang, played the guitar and piano, canned the best relish ever, baked beautiful pastries, loved her beans and ham, and yes, cornbread to go with the beans.

The day she left me was one of the most painful experiences so far in life.  I thought my chest would burst from the pain.  I have hope because we both are believers in Jesus Christ and with that hope there is a joy inside that I will see her again one day.

Meriden, CT Construction Team

Pastor Mark Sharnick along with members of Meriden First Assembly of God helped our brothers in the Islands with construction, encouragement, and friendship.  We appreciate all who participated and are thankful for their labor of love.

March News 2014

We enjoyed hosting a team from Derry, NH, Pastor Stephen Earl and members from the church helped put on a new roof at a church in Las Tunas.  The members of the church built temporary portable small roof to keep the team out of the sun while they worked.

The team made tension connections from C-Channel, improvising as they did not have any angle iron.  Impressive!

Thank you Pastor Earl and team, we appreciate your help!
