Happy Thanksgiving

Paul and I wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving.  Perhaps you are passing through a rough time in your life and you are having a hard time feeling good about anything.  There is always something to be thankful for.  Sometimes I just am thankful I have awoke to a brand new day full of opportunities and choices in the morning.   Hopefully,  I was able to learn from yesterday, forgive offenses, seek forgiveness if I have offended, and make better choices with the help of the Holy Spirit.  Happiness is a choice.  I hope you will choose to be thankful and even if it is one small thing, such as a smile from another, the fact you can walk (some may not be able to walk anymore because of physical difficulties), the fact you are able to pray, just something you need to live such as air to breath, dwell on it, be thankful for it, say it aloud, and have a very Happy Thanksgiving.  God knows your name, He knows where you are at, and He promises that He will never leave us nor forsake us.

Marriage & Family Seminar for Pastors & Wives

We had the privilege along with two other ministry couples to teach a Marriage and Family Seminar in Guardalavaca.  Over 40 Ministry couples attended the three day seminar.  There was enthusiasm and interest and it was nice to see some of the couples holding hands during break time and free time.

Paul enjoyed sharing with the men when we had a split session on the needs of women and the needs of men in marriage.  Lana shared with the women.

We are grateful to all who donated time and money to give each one a gift bag of needed items.  They were very happy to receive them, along with a copy of Faith and Action's Marriage and Family in Spanish, and a nice certificate for attendance.

Thank you to our teaching team Pastors John and Mary Ann Martz of Blue Springs, MO and Don and Julie Perkin Stout Davenport of Blue Springs, MO for sharing their wisdom and love with the Pastors and their wives.  They were amazing and we appreciate the time they invested in preparing, travel, and in teaching.

We appreciate the cooks who prepared the food for the seminar, three meals a day for us all, including snacks.  It was very tasty, and they worked hard to make it nice for all of the attendees and trainers.
